A balanced approach to managing relapsing MS
Rebif is proven to significantly slow the progression of relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS). It has been available in the United States since 2002 and is currently the most prescribed treatment outside the United States for relapsing forms of MS.
Rebif:
- Is proven to work on all 3 key disease measures in MS: progression of disability, frequency of relapses, and activity and area of brain lesions on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)*
- Is proven to reduce MRI* activity and relapses more than Avonex® (interferon beta-1a) 30 mcg once a week at 48 weeks in relapsing forms of MS (Rebif 44 mcg taken 3 times a week)

MRI
An MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a test that shows the advancement/presence of lesions on the brain, a common tool used in the assessment of the progression of the disease. Rebif has been proven effective in reducing MRI lesion activity and area.
The exact correlation between MRI findings and the current or future clinical status of patients, including disability progression, is unknown.
