Some people believe MS is fatal. Others think that everyone with MS ends up in a wheelchair. People who don’t know much about MS imagine that having a family or a career is impossible for someone who has it. Misconceptions like these may prevent people from getting the support they need.
How it really is
MS is not fatal. Although the disease may cause mobility issues, most people with MS do not need a wheelchair. Many are able to raise a family and have a career.
